This is what I did Sunday with our Fiber Group and I have the green fingernails to prove it. I just love looking at all of the colors after dyeing. Do you notice that I have hardly any pink..that's right. Most of the folks in the group were not really pink people. Me...yes I am a pink kinda girl. So I will do dyeing at home later and do some PINK.

This is a sample of some of the flowers blooming in our yard.

And finally, this little critter. I saw him/her for 2 days in a row in our driveway as I was leaving to go to work. Can you see it in the pic.

So that's a peek into my world.
OK, I was going to post some pics but I can't find my camera cord!! I have no idea where it might can be. I looked this morning...no luck.

I do have a subject that I want to put my 2 cents in about. When you go to a food place, whether it be restaurant or grocery store, does it bother you that the person serving you or the person checking you out has all of these, these.......thingies hanging out of their face. You know their lips, nose, eyebrows. I can't help it. It disgusts me. Am I just getting old and this is why it bothers me? How could that possibly be attractive to someone else? That along with the crotch of the pants hanging down to their knees......who thinks that looks good? I had rather be able to see a man's legs and his butt. How about you? I work in an office so I get to see these little young guys from USPS and Fed Ex come in.......I always look at their legs.....usually nice and tanned.......check them out sometime if you get the chance!

Until next time........

My BIL came over and was going to trim some tree limbs, or so I thought, but when I got home I discovered he took down the whole tree. I was sad because that tree was very old I suspect. I know it was for the best. It didn't have any leaves at all on it. Needless to say it made a mess when it fell. So we will be cleaning up and cutting up wood for a while. Did I mention our main heat source is a wood heater. I said next winter we were not going to use it as our main source and use our little gas heater more. We shall see. Did you notice the birdhouse in the top picture? I didn't notice it when I was taking the picture. That house has no birds and has been up there I can't remember how many years. Oh yes, this is my hubby in the pics.

Try and make your day a happy one!

I love these colors. I wasn't sure some of this material would take the wool dye, but you can see it did. I plan on doing somemore. Maybe some blues and yellows and some different greens. Some of this material is from an old robe and an old bedspread.

Next up is what I call yard art. Actually it's something that I just noticed and said hey, looky at that. The trees have no leaves so you see things you haven't seen before AND the Red Birds come. We usually have up to 6 come to our feeders during the Winter, but, I have only seen 4 so far. When they are sitting in the bare brown trees what a show it is. One day maybe I will get a good picture of one to share with you.

How about these rascals. Everytime we had some born on our farm I would cry. They are beautiful. These babies are from a friend's farm and they are just born, one of them this morning I think. Her email is perfectspot@bellsouth.net and her name is Cathy if interested. They are Jacob sheep. I love looking at them!!

Have a Happy Day!

I just happen to glance out the window. I grabbed my camera and went outside before it all went away. I thought the pics were pretty good. I still gotta get that date changed on the camera.

Tune in to what's around you!

Happy Valentine's Day!! The Mr suprised me this morning. I got him to start my car to get it warmed up this morning and when I went to get in it, he had a bag of goodies in it. A little bear, cande, card, a heart soap, a big Hershey Kiss....yum, and I can't remember what else....it was all good.

He has been doing pretty good lately, as far as how he is feeling. He starts a new chemo round on Tuesday.

I have some good news.

This is a page from my felted journal.
